About us

Locals, yellow bikes and a city we can't wait to show you.

Yellow Bike is a small team of Marrakech-born guides who chose the bike as the best way to show you their city.

Our story

It started with three bikes and a workshop in the Medina.

In 2019 we were showing visiting friends around the city on foot. The days ran out before we could show them everything: the Medina on one side, the Palmeraie on the other, the workshops scattered in between.

So we borrowed three bikes. The next day we saw twice as much, laughed twice as hard, and our friends asked for more. Yellow Bike grew out of that day.

Why Yellow Bike

Because you see Marrakech best from a bike.

On foot, you see one neighbourhood. In a car, you miss everything. On a bike, you cross the whole city, stop wherever you like and talk to people. We wanted to share that with travellers who want more than a coach tour.

Our philosophy

Three rules we follow on every ride.

Small groups
10 people max, so everyone can ask questions and ride at their own pace.
Local money
We pay a fair price for tea, meals and treatments, to families and craftspeople we know.
Zero commission
We never take you into a shop to earn a cut. Ever.

Marrakech

Our city, our playground.

Marrakech was founded in 1070. Today it has close to a million people, 19 kilometres of ramparts and an oasis of 100,000 palm trees on its doorstep. We ride it every day and it still surprises us.

Our guides

They grew up in these lanes.

Our guides are licensed, trained in first aid and speak at least two of French, English, Spanish and Italian. Above all, they love their city and you'll notice.
